Betty Alexandre has more than 15 years of experience in successfully developing non-profit organizations. Alexandre is a proud board director of Hands Across Africa since 2003. She is also strongly invested in Christian Ministry. In addition to her ministry efforts and extensive work experience, Alexandre opened Gabrielle boutique in Chicago, Illinois. This venture led to many years of fashion boutique management. Alexandre is also involved in an array of professional pursuits, including business, education, health, sports, social services and youth activities. Alexandre is a humanitarian who comes from a family of seven. She has graduated College with a double major in Business Administration and Theology. In 2006 with her dedication and the help of her mother Hugette Alexandre she opened a school for girls in a remote area of Jérémie, Haiti. In 2012 she founded Lives Across the Universe, which is a none-profit organization Base in the U.S. These visionaries and their peers remind us of our connection to each other and the importance of caring. As part of her continuing effort to helping others, she has partnered with a few existing organizations such as hands across Africa, Friends of Haiti 2010, Dojoday, Eloquence, Project 2000 International, Haitian Priorities Project etc.
